ARTICLES THAT NO ONE EVER WANTS TO READ

I set my time on Instagram for 45 min a day, is that enough?

It was 9 August 2012 when I first joined instagram.

The social platform at the time was exclusively populated by creatives, the perfect showcase for photographers, illustrators, sculptors, artisans and a few brands.
This, combined with the fact that there was no trace of advertising, was very inspiring and an encyclopedia of inspiration.

Instead, today we are faced with a screen that offers us everything we don’t want to see or know, from gossip to memes, fake business gurus, fake personal trainers, lots of fake accounts generated with bots, influencers…

A parallel, digital world that offers anyone the chance to appear to be something they are not, a microphone to people who should not speak but pretend to be experts on a subject… the problem is that then the masses (not the critical mass) believe it and fall for it.

Entertained for hours and hours scrolling, passing from profile to profile, without in the end having a return of content, of culture, without having learnt something, fortunately this is not always like this and some source of inspiration can always be found and it is up to you to search for it.

I am not a fan of continuous scrolling except looking for profiles of creatives or brands, in any case I set my stay on instagram at 45 minutes per day.
I think this is the right amount of time needed to discover some news from profiles you already follow and to find new inspiration, after which it is better to close the social.

Is 45 minutes a day on instagram enough?

It’s time to put your phone on the table and go out for a walk to the bookstore and buy the latest book that has come out.
